DR. GEORGE ARMENDARIZ

George Armendariz MD is originally from the West Texas town of Abilene and is a graduate of Southwestern University and The University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston Medical School. His internship was completed in General Surgery at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, Texas and his anesthesiology residency was at the Memorial Herman Hospital system in Houston as well.

In addition, board-certified Dr. Armendariz was a captain in the United States Air Force and served in the Air Force Reserve Unit in Texas prior to his honorable discharge secondary to a congenital heart defect. During his 25+ years’ experience as a physician, he has trained in all facets of anesthesia with advanced training and certification in acute and chronic pain management and regenerative medicine, respectively.

He is the founding member of Ambulatory Medical Associates PLLC, a mobile anesthesia and sedation company based in Arizona, and a previous partner at Desert Canyon Medical Associates anesthesia group in Arizona and Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Anesthesia at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas.    

In addition to his anesthesia practice, board-certified Dr. Armendariz has been a part of several medical missions providing medical care and life-saving surgery to indigent patients in many parts of Central and South America. Since being diagnosed and treated for his congenital heart defect, it was due to this medical issue and the main reason board-certified Dr. Armendariz developed his interest in regenerative medicine and stem cell therapy. Having lived with a mechanical heart valve for over 20 years, board-certified Dr. Armendariz has made a commitment to himself to not only learn all he can about regenerative medicine in hopes of one day being able to live once again with his own native heart valve grown from his own stem cells but to provide his patients with the opportunity of treating their own chronic conditions through potentially life-changing treatments utilizing regenerative medicine techniques and various stem cell treatments.    

Board-certified Dr. Armendariz is specialty trained in bone marrow and stromal fat stem cell therapies as well as spinal trial and permanent implant pain management interventional modalities with pain pumps and spinal cord stimulators.

Along with his interest in stem cell therapies, board-certified Dr. Armendariz continued to advance his knowledge in regenerative medicine through aesthetic medicine. From this interest, he developed his ability to extract stromal fat stem cells through various liposuction techniques.

Through continued study with national and international renowned aesthetic surgeons and active and consistent procedural work, board-certified Dr. Armendariz developed his skills in liposuction and body contouring techniques where presently he has personally performed approximately 2000 liposuction procedures in all areas of the body with masters training in body contouring and liposuction techniques as well as extensive and advanced training in natural breast augmentation and the Brazilian Butt Lift method and feels through every lipocontour procedure he can help patients create the body that they want within the body that they have and deserve.    

Board-certified Dr. Armendariz is a member the American Society of Anesthesiologists as well as multiple other pain management, aesthetic medicine and anesthesia organizations, board certified by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and the Academy of Integrative Pain Management and a diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.

Board-certified Dr. Armendariz lives in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife of 25 years, Renee, and enjoys life with her and his two children, Diego and Isabella, as well as Bianca, their pot belly pig, and Gus, their Frenchie.
