Power-Assisted Liposuction (PAL)

Power-assisted liposuction (PAL) uses a cannula attached to an oscillating handpiece that drives it back and forth to break up unwanted fat cells – without the addition of heat – before suctioning them out of the body.

Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)

The Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is a popular cosmetic surgery procedure designed to enhance the shape and size of the buttocks. Unlike traditional buttock augmentation methods that use Butt implants, a BBL uses your body's own fat to create a fuller, more youthful appearance. During the procedure, excess fat is removed from areas where you have it, such as the abdomen or thighs, and then purified and injected into the buttocks.

 Avéli

Avéli is the first and only cellulite procedure that identifies and releases the septa that cause cellulite dimples on the buttocks and thighs with a real-time confirmation of release – all in a single in-office visit. Avéli is a minimally invasive procedure performed by Board-certified Dr. Armendariz using local anesthesia and delivers meaningful long-term results.

 Natural Breast Augmentation

Natural breast augmentation is a minimally invasive procedue that uses your own fat to ehance the size and shape of your breasts. Unlike traditional breast augmentation with implants, this method uses liposuction to remove excess fat from areas such as the abdomen, hips, or thighs and then transfer it to the breasts.

VASER liposuction

VASER liposuction, also referred to as Vibration Amplification of Sound Energy at Resonance, is a specialized and minimally invasive cosmetic surgery technique designed for the removal of excess fat and body contouring. This innovative procedure employs advanced ultrasound technology to gently break down and transform fat cells into a liquid state. As a result, fat tissue can be extracted with greater ease, leading to reduced downtime, bruising, and swelling when compared to conventional liposuction methods.

Regenerative Medicine Treatments

PRP

PRP stands for Platelet-Rich Plasma. It is a treatment method that uses a concentration of a patient's own platelets to accelerate the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, muscles, and joints. PRP injections are prepared by taking a few tubes of the patient’s own blood and running it through a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. These activated platelets are then injected directly into the injured or damaged body tissue. This release of growth factors is thought to trigger natural healing processes.

PRP is commonly used in orthopedics, sports medicine, and cosmetic procedures, such as hair restoration and skin rejuvenation. The idea behind PRP therapy is that by injecting concentrated platelets, the body’s healing process is stimulated, promoting faster recovery and improved tissue health.

PRP
PRF

PRF

PRF stands for Platelet-Rich Fibrin. It is a second-generation platelet concentrate, similar to PRP, but with some key differences in its preparation and properties. PRF is made by drawing a small amount of the patient’s blood, which is then placed in a centrifuge. Unlike PRP, which is spun at a high speed, PRF is spun at a lower speed without the use of anticoagulants. This slower process allows for the formation of a fibrin matrix, a natural scaffold that traps platelets, leukocytes (white blood cells), and growth factors.

The fibrin matrix in PRF releases growth factors and cytokines slowly over time, which can promote better healing and tissue regeneration. PRF is often used in dental and oral surgery, orthopedics, and cosmetic procedures, such as facial rejuvenation and wound healing. Because PRF is entirely natural and free of additives, it's considered a more advanced and potentially more effective option than PRP in some cases.

Nano

Nanotechnology: This involves the use and manipulation of materials on a very small scale, typically at the level of atoms and molecules (nanometers, which are one-billionth of a meter). In the medical and cosmetic fields, nanotechnology can be used to enhance the delivery of drugs, nutrients, or other active ingredients more effectively into the body or skin. For example, in skincare, nanotechnology allows for the creation of nanoparticle-sized ingredients that can penetrate deeper layers of the skin, improving the effectiveness of treatments.

MSCs

MSCs stands for Mesenchymal Stem Cells. These are multipotent stem cells, meaning they have the ability to differentiate into a variety of cell types, including bone cells (osteoblasts), cartilage cells (chondrocytes), muscle cells (myocytes), and fat cells (adipocytes).

MSCs

Key Characteristics of MSCs:

  1. Source: MSCs are commonly found in the bone marrow but can also be isolated from other tissues such as adipose (fat) tissue, umbilical cord blood, and even dental pulp.
  2. Regenerative Medicine: MSCs are widely studied and used in regenerative medicine because of their ability to regenerate damaged tissues. They are believed to promote healing by reducing inflammation, modulating the immune response, and secreting factors that encourage tissue repair.

  3. Clinical Applications: MSCs are being investigated for treating a variety of conditions, including orthopedic injuries, autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular diseases, and neurodegenerative disorders. Their potential in tissue engineering and regenerative therapies makes them a significant focus of research.

  4. Immunomodulation: MSCs have immunomodulatory properties, meaning they can alter the immune response. This makes them potentially useful in treating conditions involving excessive or inappropriate immune activity, such as graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) or autoimmune diseases.

MSCs are considered promising in the field of stem cell therapy and regenerative medicine, and ongoing research aims to fully understand their capabilities and optimize their use in clinical settings.
